I am a prisoner of mechanics, being totally un educated in the technical area. I took my 97 with about 1000 miles to the dealership for oil leak, and they told me I needed a new cylinder head. I then went to a local shop, with some mechnics who actually knew something, and they did a little torquing, and all was well. (Well it still leaks alittle, but it IS a Savage.) The local guy has been very friendly every time I'm in, and enjoys having women bikers as his customers.
